Creativity Connect mission is to increase the understanding of mental health through the creative arts. healing, creating, and building a dialogue of prevention and creative solutions between children, adolescents, and university students.

We believe in creating a vibrant community that uses the arts to express feelings. We share our experience of 18 years in the field of social arts. Our team has worked with people of all ages in the Caribbean and other regions of the world, bringing attention to the power of the arts.

We offer a collection of shows, seminars, forums, creative arts workshops, classes, community development opportunities, personal coaching, creative arts therapy and so much more!

Just as we create without any kind of prejudice, we also create to feel connected with our deeper authentic selves and the rest of our community.

Rebecca Arts Therapy

Creative Arts Therapist

Rebecca Dennis

Rebecca Dennis is an artists, mother, creative arts therapist and counselor who has a passion for using the expressive arts and creative processes to improve mental and emotional health and bring people together.  After a childhood spent exploring every type of art making, she went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Art and Art History.  She soon realized that something important was missing and went on to pursue a master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy and Counseling.  After gaining experience as a therapist in public schools, hospitals, and a community mental health clinic she now has a private practice in Montclair, NJ.  She is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.  She offers a range of creative and therapeutic approaches based on the need of the individual or group.  Making art and creative expression continue to be an essential part of her everyday life.

Joel Guzman arts classes

Co-Founder

Joel Eduardo Guzman

Joel Guzmán is an actor, a clown, and a culture and arts manager whose mission over the years has been to transform spaces worldwide with the power of the arts. He graduated from Michigan State University with a master's in Arts & Cultural Management. He also received an MBA in Marketing from the Interamericana University of Puerto Rico and received certificates in Circus Teaching and Physical Theater while living in Argentina. These educational studies have come together to inform his 17 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, creating and transforming various cultural initiatives. This includes being the founder of Circo Nacional de Puerto Rico, working as the COO of the theater company Y no habia luz, and most recently as the Cofounder of Arte y Maña, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing communities with innovative artistic tools to facilitate social wellness, solidarity, leadership, and change.

Additionally, he was the Director of Artist Engagement at a nonprofit in NYC. There he worked with over 1,500 artists of all disciplines and led various international initiatives, such as a multilingual workshop presented at the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates. He has had a broad experience working in Argentina, France, The United States, and The Caribbean with people of all ages and backgrounds.
